NC Central dominates Johnson & Wales (NC) 101-38

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Anthony McDonald nailed 8 of 12 from beyond the arc to total 26 points as North Carolina Central dominated Division III Johnson & Wales (NC) 101-38 on Tuesday night.

North Carolina Central jumped out to an early lead, had a comfortable 42-19 advantage at the half and coasted to an easy win.

Jordan Parks made 9 of 10 from the floor to total 20 points and Dante Holmes nailed 4 of 5 3-pointers for 15 points for NCCU (4-3). Nimrod Hillard had 12 assists.

The Eagles made 12 of 21 from long range, making 37 of 54 field goal attempts overall, and limited the Wildcats to just eight baskets on 50 attempts (16 percent).

NCCU had 13 steals and 27 assists.

Ricky Porter led the Wildcats (4-2) with 12 points.
