South Alabama rolls over Spring Hill 71-54

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) Georgi Boyanov scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and South Alabama rolled over Division II member Spring Hill 71-54 on Tuesday night.

Boyanov made 5 of 7 field goals and recorded his first career double-double.

Spring Hill led in this one as late as 1:37 in the first half at 24-22, but the Jaguars used a 6-0 run to close the half and lead 28-24 at intermission.

South Alabama (2-3) never trailed again. An 8-0 run early in the second half, including 3-pointers by John Brown and Devin Epps, pushed the lead to double digits and the Jaguars cruised from there.

Ken Williams had 12 points and Taishaun Johnson added 11 points for South Alabama, which shot just 36 percent from the floor, including 9 of 25 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars made 22 of 31 free throws.

Spring Hill was led by Matevz Rojc with 10 points.
