Stephen F Austin tops Memphis 64-52

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Clide Geffrard scored 14 points to lead Stephen F. Austin over Memphis 64-52 on Tuesday.

The game was tied at 45 with 8:43 left then Stephen F. Austin (4-3) used a 12-0 run, punctuated by 3-pointers from Geffrard and Ty Charles, to take control of the game. Memphis (2-3) couldn't make another run.

A tense first half, where neither team enjoyed more than a 4-point lead, ended tied at 27.

Jacob Parker added 13 points and Charles finished with 10 for the Lumberjacks. Thomas Walkup, SFA's leading scorer at 14.5 per game, was just 3 of 12 for seven points but grabbed 10 boards.

Memphis was paced by Austin Nichols with 16 points and Shaq Goodwin with 15. Trashon Burrell added 10 points. The Tigers were just 1 of 13 on 3-point attempts and 9 of 16 from the line.
