Boston snaps three-game losing streak, 77-65

BOSTON (AP) Cedric Hankerson scored 21 points to lead Boston University to a 77-65 victory over Binghamton on Wednesday night, snapping the Terriers' three-game losing streak.

Eric Fanning added 14 points, John Papale 12 and Cheddi Mosely 10 for the Terriers (2-4). Boston U hit 28 of 54 shots (51.9 percent) including half of their 28 3-point attempts. Six different Terriers had a 3-pointer with Hankerson leading the way with four.

Dusan Perovic scored a Division I school-record 34 points to lead the Bearcats (1-7), who have lost five straight. Romello Walker added 12 points. Binghamton shot 44.9 percent, including 38.1 percent from behind the arc.

The Terriers took a 12-11 lead with 9:50 left in the first half on a Hankerson 3-pointer and never trailed thereafter. They led by nine at halftime and were up by as many as 22 in the second half.

Boston U has now won the last nine meetings with Binghamton.
