Holy Cross powers past Albany 74-57

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Mitchell Hahn and Anthony Thompson hit a combined 11 of 11 from 3-point range to propel Holy Cross to a 74-57 win over Albany on Wednesday night.

Hahn finished with 22 points, including 6 of 6 from beyond the arc, while Thompson had 15 on 5-of-5 shooting from long range in the win.

Holy Cross (4-1) took control midway through the first period with a 14-1 run that included a pair Hahn 3-pointers that made it 37-22 with 4:37 left before the intermission. The Crusaders continued to pull away in the second half.

Malcolm Miller added 11 points and Justin Burrell had 10 for Holy Cross, which shot 54.5 percent from the field and sank 13 of 19 from long range.

Sam Rowley led Albany with 14 points, while Wheeler Baker had 11 points and six rebounds.

The win gave Holy Cross a 2-0 series lead over Albany.
