Fairleigh Dickinson holds off Princeton 89-85

TEANECK, N.J. (AP) Matt MacDonald scored 29 points and Mustafaa Jones 22, both career highs, and Fairleigh Dickinson hit 13 of 14 free throws in the final 61 seconds to hold on for an 89-85 win over Princeton on Wednesday night.

Jones hit four free throws sandwiched around a Khyan Rayner 3-pointer for Princeton (2-6) as the Knights (3-3) survived a frantic finish after using a 25-4 run to turn a 10-point deficit into a 68-57 lead with 4:57 remaining.

Darian Anderson added 17 for Fairleigh Dickinson, which trailed 33-25 at the half but made 14 of 20 field goals and 30-37 free throws after intermission.

Hans Brase led Princeton with 18 points and 13 rebounds, Spencer Weisz had 16 points and Clay Wilson hit 5 of 7 3-pointers for 15 points.

Princeton was up 53-43 when Clay Wilson hit a 3 with 12:15 left before the Knights reeled off nine-straight points.
