Utah forward Jordan Loveridge is expected to miss at least a month after undergoing knee surgery, reports ESPN.com’s Jeff Goodman.

Loveridge, a junior, is averaging 11.5 points on 44 percent shooting and 2.5 rebounds for the Utes (6-1) this season.

"Cleaned up some loose bodies floating around in that knee," Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak said to The Salt Lake Tribune. "He's going to get that thing strong. It wasn't really invasive."

Loveridge, the team's third leading scorer, did not play in Utah’s 69-68 upset of Wichita State on Wednesday and was replaced in the lineup by Kenneth Ogbe, who played 10 minutes and scored two points.

Utah takes on in-state rival BYU next Wednesday and No. 11 Kansas on Dec. 13. The Utes start conference play on Jan. 2 against USC.
