St Francis holds off Albany 69-59

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Earl Brown scored 16 points on 6 of 10 shooting from the field to lead St Francis to a 69-59 victory over Albany on Saturday.

Ben Millaud-Meunier scored 13 points off the bench for the Red Flash (4-4). Dominique Major and Ollie Jackson each added nine points apiece.

St Francis shot the ball well for much of the afternoon, hitting 51.2 percent from the field and 11 of 20 from 3-point range, while holding Albany to just 36.5 percent and 3 of 22 from downtown.

St Francis built a 31-15 lead at the break on the strength of a 17-6 run midway through the first half and held a double digit lead for much of the second. Albany would battle back to within six late, but could not get closer.

Sam Rowley scored 19 points to lead the Great Danes (2-5). Peter Hooley added 13 points for Albany.
