Kentucky unanimous No. 1, Duke moves up to No. 2 in new AP poll

Kentucky becomes the unanimous No. 1 for the first time this season while Duke moves up to No. 2.

For the first time this season Kentucky is the unanimous No. 1 atop the AP poll, receiving all 64 first-place Week 5 votes. 

The new rankings, released on Monday, moved Duke up to No. 2 (previously No. 4) and dropped Wisconsin to No. 5 (previously No. 2) after the Blue Devils beat the Badgers 80-70 on Wednesday. Wisconsin had previously been receiving a few first-place votes each week.

Arizona remained steady at No. 3, while Louisville moved up one spot to No. 4.

Utah jumped from No. 25 last week to No. 13 after defeating Wichita State 69-68 on Wednesday, while Washington went from being unranked to No. 17 after defeating San Diego State 49-36 on Sunday. Other new additions to the poll are No. 23 UNI, No. 24 St. John's, and No. 25 Notre Dame.

Arkansas, Michigan, Michigan State and Illinois all dropped out of the Top 25. North Carolina dropped from No. 12 to No. 21 following a loss to Iowa and San Diego State dropped from No. 13 to No. 18 after the loss to Washington.
