Hofstra coasts past Coppin State in 105-64 win

BALTIMORE (AP) Juan'ya Green scored 17 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead five players in double figures and help propel Hofstra to a 105-64 win over Coppin State on Wednesday night.

Hofstra (7-2) trailed only briefly after the opening tipoff and coasted to a 48-26 advantage at the break and continued to pull away over the final 20 minutes, reaching triple digits in regulation for the first time since 1992.

Ameen Tanksley contributed 23 points, Brian Bernardi added 20, Jamall Robinson had 14 and Malik Nichols had 10 plus 15 rebounds for the Pride, who shot 54.5 percent from the field, including 13 of 25 from 3-point range and held a dominating 49-29 rebounding advantage. It marked the fourth straight win for Hofstra.

Taariq Cephas scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists to lead Coppin State (1-8).
