KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Martez Harrison scored 25 points, including the go-ahead bucket late in the second half, to lift University of Missouri-Kansas City to a 79-72 win over Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday.

Frank Williams Jr. sparked the 10-1 go-ahead run with back-to-back 3-pointers that tied the score at 61 and Harrison followed it up with a pair of layups to make it 65-61 with 6:12 to go in the game. UMKC (4-7) held on to the lead the rest of the way and snapped a three-game skid.

Williams finished with 16 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and Deshon Taylor added 12 points for the Kangaroos, who shot 43.6 percent from the floor but benefited from a 2-to-1 advantage at the free throw line: 25 of 39 to Omaha's 11 of 19.

Omaha (4-5) retook the lead early in the second half on a Devin Patterson layup but couldn't hang on down the stretch.
