Oregon State salutes rival QB Marcus Mariota after he won the Heisman

Oregon State congratulated rival Oregon Ducks' quarterback Marcus Mariota on Sunday for winning the Heisman Trophy with an ad in TheOregonian.
USA Today's George Schroeder tweeted the advertisement late Saturday night, which noted the Beavers own Terry Baker won the award 52 years ago.

Mariota was the key factor in Oregon's dominant 47-19 win over the Beavers in last month's 'Civil War' game, and propelled the Ducks to a 12-1 record and a No. 3 national ranking.
The native Hawaiian is no stranger to postseason hardware: Earlier this week, he won the Walter Camp Award, the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award and the Maxwell Award.
Oregon defeated Florida State in the first semifinal of the college football playoff on New Year's Day.
