Texas A&M Aggies vs. West Virginia Mountaineers
Texas A&M takes on West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl from Liberty Bowl Memorial in Memphis, Tennessee on Dec. 29. Both teams come into the game slumping. Texas A&M lost five of their last seven games to end the regular season and West Virginia has lost three of its last four. West Virginia last played in the Liberty Bowl in 1964 and Texas A&M's only appearance in the game came in 1975.

11/27:LSU 23, Texas A&M 17
Freshman Leonard Fournette ran for 146 yards and Anthony Jennings added 119 yards rushing and 107 passing for the Tigers' fourth straight victory over the Aggies. Texas A&M's passing offense only amassed 144 yards. The Aggies finished with 288 total yards.
11/15:Missouri 34, Texas A&M 27
Texas A&M fell out of the top 25 after a home upset by Missouri. The Aggies came to within a touchdown of the lead in the fourth quarter after a Kyle Allen touchdown pass and had a chance to tie the game from the Missouri two-yard line with less than three minutes remaining, but the Aggies were unable to convert on fourth-and-goal. Allen went 24-of-35 for 237 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.
11/8: Texas A&M 41, Auburn 38
Texas A&M forced three turnovers, including a pair of late fumbles, to beat then-No. 3 Auburn on the road. Starting in place of the suspended Kenny Hill, Kyle Allen completed 19 of 29 passes for 277 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Malcome Kennedy had four catches for 118 yards to lead the Aggies.
11/1: Texas A&M 21, UL-Monroe 16
Quarterback Kyle Allen threw for only 106 yards as the Aggies held off UL-Monroe at home. The Aggies turned the ball over twice and only managed 243 yards of total offense in the victory, which snapped a three-game losing streak.
10/18:Alabama 59, Texas A&M 0
Texas A&M was outgained 602-172 by Alabama in a blowout loss. Kenny Hill completed 17 of 26 passes for 138 yards and an interception, and the Aggies only managed 31 rushing yards. Alabama receiver Amari Cooper torched Texas A&M for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
11/29: West Virginia 37, Iowa State 24
West Virginia broke a three-game skid as quarterback Skyler Howard threw three TD passes. Rushel Shell ran for 146 yards for the Mountaineers, who rolled up 285 yards each rushing and passing. Iowa State quarterback Sam B. Richardson completed only 26 of his 50 passes for 275 yards and was picked twice as the Cyclones lost their fifth straight game.
11/20:Kansas State 26, West Virginia 20
Jake Waters threw for 400 yards, accounting for almost all of the Kansas State offense, as the Wildcats moved into a first-place tie in the Big 12. The Wildcats were flagged 10 times and had one yard rushing. Tyler Lockett caught 10 passes for 196 yards and returned a punt 43 yards for a touchdown. West Virginia turned the ball over four times and lost starting quarterback Clint Trickett to a concussion.
11/8:Texas 33, West Virginia 16
The Mountaineers turned the ball over twice en route to being upset by the Longhorns. Clint Trickett completed 36 of 49 passes for 248 yards and an interception, and Kevin White had 16 catches for 132 yards. West Virginia gave up 227 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground to Texas.
11/1:TCU 31, West Virginia 30
West Virginia had its four-game winning streak snapped by TCU at home. Horned Frogs kicker Jaden Oberkrom's 37-yard field goal as time expired won the game for TCU. Clint Trickett completed 15 of 26 passes for 162 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions as West Virginia turned the ball over five times in the loss.
10/25: West Virginia 34, Oklahoma State 10
The Mountaineers won their fourth straight game by defeating the Cowboys in Stillwater. Clint Trickett threw for 238 yards and two touchdowns, and Mario Alford had seven catches for 136 yards and a touchdown. Wendell Smallwood rushed 23 times for 132 yards.
