St. Francis (Pa) defeats Duquesne 67-52

PITTSBURGH (AP) Earl Brown scored 16 points, Ben Millaud-Meunier added 14 as St. Francis (Pa.) walloped Duquesne on the glass en route to a 67-52 win Wednesday night.

The Red Flash (5-4) held Duquesne to just six offensive rebounds and 18 field goals in the suffocating win. St. Francis outrebounded the Dukes (3-5) 45-29 with Ronnie Drinnon hauling down 15 and Greg Brown eight.

Drinnon and Greg Brown snagged rebounds off of Duquesne's first two missed shots and the Red Flash, who never trailed, were soon ahead 17-8 on back-to-back baskets by Earl Brown and Greg Brown. Earl Brown scored 10 in the opening run.

Millaud-Meunier and Greg Brown hit 3-pointers in an 8-0 run midway through the second half, after Duquesne had cut the gap to eight.

Derrick Colter paced the Dukes, who have lost four in a row, with 17 points.

The win in Pittsburgh was the first for St. Francis since 1966.
