Nyheim Hines, a heralded senior prospect from Garner, N.C., committed to North Carolina State on Friday.

Hines, who also drew scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State and Florida, among other programs, is the No. 4 all-purpose back and No. 99 player in the class of 2015, according to the recruiting website Rivals.com.

As a senior at Garner Magnet (N.C.) High, Hines rushed for 2,118 yards with 12 touchdowns, caught 14 passes for 198 yards and also contributed as a return man, according to MaxPreps.

Four-star linebacker Ricky DeBerry commits to Oklahoma

"Hines is one of the most electric players in the country and put up massive numbers this season," Rivals.com Southeast recruiting analyst Adam Friedman said of Hines. "He can score from anywhere on the field, whether he takes a handoff, catches the ball on a screen pass or is a downfield receiver. With the ball in his hands, Hines is very good at making players miss with jukes to his left, right, spins and stiff arms."

Hines, who also excels in track and field, is the 17th player -- and the fourth given a four-star rating by Rivals.com -- in the class of 2015 to commit to North Carolina. The Wolfpack's 2015 recruiting class ranks No. 38 in the country, according to Rivals.com.
