Manley's 24 points lead Kent State past NC A&T, 71-57

KENT, Ohio (AP) Devareaux Manley poured in seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 24 points to lift Kent State to a 71-57 win over North Carolina A&T Friday night.

Manley was 7 of 10 from behind the arc and 3 of 4 from the line. Kris Brewer came off the bench to add 11 points, including a pair of 3s, for the Golden Flashes, who collectively shot 24 of 49 from the field (49 percent) and were 10 of 22 from long range.

Kent State (7-2) created some distance with a closing run at the end of the first half, breaking out of a 16-16 tie to create a 32-25 lead at intermission. Manley drained back-to-back 3searly in the second half to push the lead to 42-27.

Khary Doby scored 16 points and Arturs Bremers added 14 more to lead the Aggies (1-12, 0-2 MEAC) who concluded a 12-game road trip.
