Henton, Dunn help Providence roll past UMass 85-65

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) LaDontae Henton scored 27 points, Kris Dunn added 16 with 11 assists and Providence coasted past Massachusetts 85-65 on Saturday.

Tyler Harris chipped in 12 points and Carson Desrosiers had 10 with nine rebounds for the Friars (9-3), who shot 45.2 percent from the field. Dunn went 7 of 12 from the floor and also had five steals and five boards.

Maxie Esho led the Minutemen (6-5) with 17 points, Donte Clark finished with 14 and Zach Coleman added 10. UMass committed 18 turnovers while Providence had just nine.

Providence closed the first half with a 13-4 run to move out to a 37-24 halftime lead. Jalen Lindsey sparked the run with two 3-pointers and Dunn contributed a 3 and a dunk.

Three layups by Dunn and a pair of three-point plays from Harris sparked a 12-0 surge that put the Friars up by 32 with 9:25 left.
