Freshman Bryant's 25 lead Elon over Kennesaw State 67-65

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Elijah Bryant scored a career-high 25 points on Monday and made a game-saving block in the final seconds to preserve Elon's 67-65 win over Kennesaw State.

Elon (7-5) took its first lead of the game at 49-48 and played back-and-forth with the Owls (4-9) until Bryant's 3-pointer and Christian Hairston's free throws made it 66-62 with 20 seconds left.

Nigel Pruitt cut the lead down to one on a 3-pointer with nine seconds left.

Bryant made 1 of 2 free throws for Elon and blocked Yonel Brown's layup out of bounds with four seconds left. The Owls inbounded to Delbert Love, who hit the back of the rim on a 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Kennesaw State used a 7-0 run for a 40-31 halftime lead. The Owls also opened with the game's first 10 points and led by 15 before Elon scored 12 straight to get back within 26-23.
