Air Force sneaks past Jacksonville State in overtime 66-65

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) Max Yon's layup with 1:57 left in overtime held up and Air Force topped Jacksonville State 66-65 on Monday night.

Yon scored seven of Air Force's nine points in the extra frame and finished with 16 points.

JaQuail Townser's jumper on the next possession pulled Jacksonville State (7-6) to within one, but D.J. Felder's shot was short with 2 seconds left and the score stood.

Darion Rackley's tip-in with a second left for the Gamecocks forced overtime. Jacksonville State led by four with 4:57 left but Air Force (7-4) ran off seven straight - including 3-pointers by Yon and Zach Kocur - to get back in the game.

Marek Olesinski had 14 points for Air Force while Kamryn Williams added 12 points and three blocks and Kocur finished with 10 points.

Rackley paced Jacksonville State with 23 points and Felder finished with 17 points and seven boards.
