OREM, Utah (AP) Donte Williams scored nine of his 12 points after halftime as Utah Valley struggled past Idaho State 51-47 in a cold-shooting game on Tuesday night.

The Wolverines (4-7), who broke a six-game losing streak, went scoreless for nearly 5-1/2 minutes after halftime. The drought allowed Idaho State to creep ahead 39-36 with a 9-0 run.

The game was low-scoring - Utah Valley shooting 37 percent to Idaho State's 30 - and close, with nine ties and 11 lead changes.

Williams scored seven clutch points in the final 10 minutes, including two free throws to regain the lead 42-41, another two foul shots to tie at 44 and one more free throw for a 45-44 lead for keeps.

Idaho State (3-9) tied it at 47 on a Jeffrey Solarin (13 points) layup with 2:33 left, but Brenden Evans and Williams scored the last four points for the Wolverines off ISU misses.
