Seton Hall's Isaiah Whitehead out 'a few weeks' with stress fracture
Seton Hall star freshman Isaiah Whitehead will miss "a few weeks" with a stress fracture, he said Wednesday on Twitter.
Whitehead, the Pirates' second-leading scorer, was a five-star recruit at Abraham Lincoln High School in Coney Island. He chose Seton Hall over Florida, Indiana, Arizona and other top programs.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is averaging 11.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in 11 games this season. He leads the team with 3.4 assists per game.
The Pirates are 9-2 and receiving votes in both the coaches' poll and AP poll. They wrap up the non-conference schedule against Maine on Saturday before beginning Big East play on Dec. 31 against St. John's.
