Reports: Jim Harbaugh expected in Michigan on Tuesday
Jim Harbaugh is expected to be introduced as Michigan's next football coach at the school's men's basketball game on Tuesday, according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.
Harbaugh's family is flying to Ann Arbor, Mich., on Monday and is expected to be at the Wolverines' home basketball game vs. Illinois on Tuesday, according to the report.
Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported Sunday morning that as long as Harbaugh-to-Michigan isn't official, the Oakland Raiders remain "hopeful" about the chance of hiring the San Francisco 49ers coach. The Raiders have been linked to Harbaugh as far back as November, when they were rumored to be the "favorites" to land him in a trade.
On Saturday, numerous outlets reported Harbaugh had accepted Michigan's offer. UM officials were reportedly in the Bay Area this weekend to meet with Harbaugh, who is expected to part ways with the 49ers shortly after Sunday's season finale against the Arizona Cardinals.

Michigan has reportedly offered Harbaugh a six-year, $48 million contract, which would make him the highest-paid coach in college football on a per-year basis. Alabama's Nick Saban earned $6.9 million this season after signing a new deal in the spring.
Harbaugh, 51, has coached the 49ers to a 43-19-1 record in four seasons, including three NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl berth. He played quarterback for Michigan from 1983-86, and is renowned for guaranteeing a win against archrival Ohio State in his senior season.
Harbaugh also played in the NFL for 15 years until 2001, and served as the Raiders' quarterbacks coach in 2002 and 2003. He earned his first head coaching job at San Diego from 2004-06 before he was hired by Stanford in 2007. Over four seasons with the Cardinal, Harbaugh went 29-21, culminating in a 12-1, Orange Bowl-winning 2010 season with future Indianapolis Colts star Andrew Luck at quarterback.

Michigan fired Brady Hoke earlier this month after he went 31-20 in four seasons. The Wolverines went 5-7 this season, missing a bowl for the first time since 2009.
