Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin has indicated that he will remain with the Crimson Tide for the 2015 season, according to Stewart Mandel of Fox Sports.

Kiffin has been largely credited with the development of senior Blake Sims to All-SEC caliber quarterback over the last year. As Sims moves on to graduation and a potential professional career, Alabama will field a new quarterback next season.

Backup quarterback Jake Coker would be next in line for starting duties.

Kiffin's nurturing of Sims and standout wide receiver Amari Cooper bolstered Alabama's already formidable offense this season, a contribution noted by head coach Nick Saban himself.

"Lane has done a fantastic job for us across the board," Saban said. "[Kiffin has] a really good way with players...He's a confront-and-demand guy, but he has a good personality with them and they respond well..."

Kiffin has been the head coach for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Volunteers and USC Trojans. He joined Saban at Alabama earlier this year, and appears to have found a role for which he is well suited.

Kiffin and the Crimson Tide will face Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Day in the first round of the inaugural College Football Playoff.
