Hot-shooting second half lifts Niagara over Albany

LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) Ramone Snowden hit four of his career-high five 3-pointers in the second half and Wesley Myers scored a career-high tying 17 points to lead Niagara to a 65-47 win over Albany on Tuesday night.

Snowden made 6 of 10 field goals en route to a season-high 17 points.

Albany (5-7) limited the Purple Eagles to just 29 percent shooting in the first half, but trailed 27-25 at the break after being outrebounded 23-13, including 9-1 on the offensive glass.

Niagara (2-8) made 13 of 22 (59 percent) second-half field goals, including 7 of 9 3-pointers, to snap a seven-game losing streak.

The Great Danes were just 6 of 22 (27.3 percent) from 3-point range and 1 of 5 from the free throw line, while Niagara made 12 of 16 from the stripe.

Rayvon Harris added 12 points and eight rebounds for Niagara.

Wheeler Baker led Albany with 11 points.
