CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Georgia senior quarterback Hutson Mason's college career will end on the sideline.

Georgia team officials said that Hutson will not return to the Belk Bowl due to vision issues. Mason was injured during the second quarter with his team leading 20-7.

It was hard to determine on which play Mason got injured. He took one hard shot to midsection midway through the second quarter and was slow to get up but remained in the game. A short while later he was taken to the locker room for observations.

Mason finished 10-of-15 passing for 148 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown pass when he left the game with the Bulldogs leading 20-7.

He was replaced by Brice Ramsey, who threw an interception on his first pass attempt from the Louisville 31.

Georgia is leading Louisville 27-14 at the end of the third quarter and the Bulldogs are leaning hard on running back Nick Chubb to carry the load. He has run for 178 yards and a touchdown against the nation's second-ranked defense.
