Coastal Carolina levels High point, 83-68

HIGH POINT, N.C. (AP) Josh Cameron scored 18 points and led five players into double figures as Coastal Carolina levelled High Point 83-68 in the Big South opener Wednesday night.

The Chanticleers opened the game with a 9-2 run and never trailed. Shivaughn Wiggins pushed the lead to 10 points with a layup with 12:21 left in the first half.

John Brown knocked down two free throws as High Point cut the lead to seven points to open the second half, but Badou Diagne dunked to spark a 9-0 run and Coastal Carolina coasted home.

Cameron was 6 of 10 from the field and knocked down 4 of 5 from distance to lead Coastal Carolina (10-3, 1-0 Big South). Elijah Wilson finished with 14 and the Chanticleers shot a brisk 28 of 51 from the floor (54.9 percent).

Lorenzo Cugini and Adam Weary both scored 16 points to lead High Point (9-4, 0-1).
