Boston closes out The Roof with 75-56 defeat of Lehigh

BOSTON (AP) Eric Fanning scored a career-high 21 points off the bench as Boston U swept its opening weekend of Patriot League games, defeating Lehigh 75-56 on Saturday in the final contest at the cozy, 1,800-seat The Roof.

The Terriers (6-7, 2-0) hit 14 of 25 3-pointers with Cheddi Mosely knocking down five treys for 15 points, John Papale adding four treys and 16 points, and Cedric Hankerson adding three treys and 17 points. Fanning hit 5 of 6 from the field, including both 3-point shot attempts, and added 9 of 10 from the foul line with seven rebounds and six assists.

Boston U led by as many as 36.

Lehigh (6-7, 0-2) was led by 13 points from Tim Kempton and 10 from Austin Price. The Mountain Hawks closed the game on a 19-2 run, including the game's final 15 points, but had been buried in the rain of Boston 3s.
