UC Davis over California Maritime 78-41

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) J.T. Adenrele scored 15 points with eight rebounds as UC Davis glided to a 78-41 win over NAIA California Maritime on Saturday night.

Avery Johnson added 13 points for the Aggies (10-3) and Josh Ritchart had 11 points and three rebounds. The team hit 53.7 percent from the field overall, 57.1 percent from the line and 60 percent from 3-point territory.

UC Davis went up 27-8 midway through the first period and led 42-15 at the break. California Maritime hit just 19 percent from the field and committed 15 first-half turnovers.

The Keelhaulers improved slightly in the second half but it was not enough as the Aggies maintained a 30-point lead through much of the period.

Blaine Shively had seven points off the bench to lead the scoring for the Keelhaulers who finished sinking 12 of 50 (24 percent) overall from the floor.
