Davis, Pepperdine put away Pacific 71-61

MALIBU, Calif. (AP) Stacy Davis scored 21 points, Shawn Olden added 16 and Pepperdine put away Pacific for a 71-61 victory on Saturday night.

The Waves (9-5, 2-1 West Coast) finished with 17 assists on 20 made field goals and hit 24 of 27 free throws. Jett Raines chipped in 12 points, Atif Russell contributed 11 and Jeremy Major had seven with five assists. Olden and Raines each hit two of Pepperdine's seven 3-pointers.

Dulani Robinson paced the Tigers (9-7, 1-3) with 15 points on 6-of-15 shooting while David Taylor added 11 points. Pacific was held to 41.1-percent shooting and went 10 of 18 from the free throw line.

Davis converted a three-point play and sank a jumper during a 13-6 run that sent Pepperdine to a 30-19 halftime lead. A 3-pointer from Davis put the Waves up 48-34 with 13:23 remaining and Pacific couldn't pull closer than seven from there.
