St. Francis (N.Y.) handles Bryant 63-47

NEW YORK (AP) Tyreek Jewell hit 7 of 13 shots and finished with 15 points to help St. Francis (N.Y.) beat Bryant 63-47 on Monday.

Brent Jones had 13 points and six assists for St. Francis (8-7, 2-0 Northeast Conference). Amdy Fall added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Terriers.

Jones became the second player in St. Francis history to score 500 points and have 500 assists in a career.

A Jones 3-pointer put St. Francis on top 31-11 with 3:13 to go in the first half. Bryant closed on a 9-3 run to make it 34-20 at the break.

Hunter Ware led Bryant (4-7, 1-1) with 13 points. Joe O'Shea had seven points and 10 rebounds.

St. Francis has reeled off five straight wins after starting the season losing five in a row.
