Albany scores late to take 64-62 win over New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Sam Rowley made a layup with 1 second left to give Albany a 64-62 win over New Hampshire on Tuesday night.

Rowley, who was stymied by the New Hampshire defense most of the night, was the go-to-guy for the final shot and he delivered. Peter Hooley had 17 points, Ray Sanders hit 3 of 4 from long range to total 15, Evan Singletary finished with 14 and Rowley had eight for Albany (7-7, 2-0 American East Conference).

Jacoby Armstrong made two free throws to give New Hampshire a 62-60 lead with 1:05 left in the game. Rowley made two free throws with 49 seconds left to tie and then grabbed a defensive rebound to give the Great Danes the chance for the win.

Daniel Dion had 17 points and Tanner Leissner added 12 for New Hampshire (6-8, 0-2).
