Western Kentucky edges Charlotte 74-66

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) T.J. Price scored 21 points, including four 3-pointers, to help Western Kentucky in a 74-66 comeback win over Charlotte on Thursday night.

George Fant contributed 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Chris Harrison-Docks and Trency Jackson added 15 points apiece for Western Kentucky (9-5, 2-0 Conference USA), which has won four straight.

Tied at 40 at the break, Charlotte (6-8, 0-2) opened the second half with a 9-2 spurt and hung on to the lead for most of the period. Western Kentucky stayed close, though, then retook the lead for good with a bucket from Justin Johnson with 4:19 left and padded it with a 3-pointer from Harrison-Docks, his fifth of the night.

The Hilltoppers edged Charlotte with a 13-3 advantage in made shots from beyond the arc.

Torin Dorn led the 49ers with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Mike Thorne Jr. added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
