Florida State cornerback Darby to enter 2015 NFL Draft

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Florida State has announced that cornerback Ronald Darby has decided to enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher said in a statement Friday he believes Darby has ''a chance to be a great pro.''

Fisher says, ''Ronald was a big part of our success here and helped us reach the next level over the last three years.''

Darby was named ACC defensive rookie of the year in 2012 and was a full-time starter as a sophomore and junior. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Darby was considered one of the best cover cornerbacks in the game going into 2014, but a lingering hamstring injury affected his play.

The Seminoles won three ACC titles and a national championship during Darby's career.
