After No. 18 North Carolina beat No. 5 Louisville at home on Saturday, announcer Dick Vitale yelled, "boo-yah" multiple times in honor of the late Stuart Scott.
Scott, who died of cancer on Jan. 4, graduated from UNC in 1987. The ESPN anchor was known for his many catchphrases, including "boo-yah."
Last Monday, the men's basketball team held a moment of silence for Scott. The team also wore patches that said "STU" on them.
Before the UNC women's team played last Sunday, head coach Sylvia Hatchell remembered Scott in her pregame speech.
