Cornell has record-setting win over Alfred State, 107-29
ITHACA, N.Y. (AP) Shonn Miller and Devin Cherry scored 18 points apiece to lead Cornell to a 107-29 win over Division III Alfred State on Saturday in a record-setting game.
Cornell's 107 points was its seventh highest in school history - and its most in 22 years. The 29 points allowed tied the school record set in 1945 and the 78-point margin of victory was its largest ever.
Robert Hatter added 13 points for Cornell (8-8), which made 36 of 73 shots including 14 of 28 from 3-point range. Cherry made 4 of 6 from long range and Hatter was 3 of 5.
Adam Fezza and Justin Wallace scored five points apiece for Alfred State. The Pioneers were held to 10-of-47 shooting (21.3 percent), including 3 of 18 from deep.
Cornell held a 47-31 advantage on the glass and forced 29 turnovers, with 16 steals.
