SAN DIEGO (AP) Stacy Davis scored 18 points - 13 of those in the first half - and Pepperdine beat cold-shooting San Diego 59-47 on Saturday.

Davis was the only player to score in double figures, finishing 5 of 8 from the floor and 8 of 9 from the free-throw line.

San Diego (9-9, 2-4 WCC) shot 26.5 percent at the half (9 of 34) and finished at 29.7 percent by games end. The Toreros were held to just eight points in the first 11:52 of the second half, allowing the Waves a 17-point lead. Christopher Anderson hit a 3 to break the drought and spark a 9-0 run, but it wasn't enough to make up the difference.

Anderson, Johnny Dee and Marcus Harris each scored nine points for San Diego, and Anderson finished with six assists.

The Waves (11-5, 4-1) improved to their best five-game start in WCC play since 2002.
