North Carolina Central runs past South Carolina St 76-45

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Anthony McDonald had 18 points and Jordan Parks added 16 with 14 rebounds as North Carolina Central ran past South Carolina State 76-45 on Saturday.

North Carolina Central won its 28th straight at home as coach LeVell Moton picked up his 100th career victory in six seasons at his alma mater.

South Carolina State had an early lead but McDonald nailed a 3-pointer and followed with a layup, starting a 22-9 run that led to a 38-21 halftime advantage. The Bulldogs never threatened in the second period.

Parks had his sixth double-double of the season. Nimrod Hilliard had 15 points with eight assists and Jeremiah Ingram contributed 14 for NCCU (11-5, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).

The Eagles made 27 of 58 field goal attempts (46.6 percent) while limiting South Carolina State to 15-of-53 shooting (28.3 percent).

Edward Stephens had 11 points for the Bulldogs (4-13, 2-1).
