Green Bay pulls away from Youngstown State 82-67

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) Keifer Sykes scored 24 points, hauled in nine rebounds and dished out six assists to lead Green Bay to an 82-67 win over Youngstown State on Sunday night.

Greg Mays added 23 points on 9-for-16 shooting and Carrington Love had 14 for Green Bay (14-3, 3-0 Horizon League), which shot 42.9 percent on 63 attempts and controlled the boards 51-28. Kenneth Lowe grabbed 11 rebounds for the Phoenix and Jordan Fouse collected 10.

Green Bay broke it open early in the second half with 13 consecutive points, mostly from Sykes to make it 51-34 with 14:44 to go. The Phoenix, who have won five straight, took their biggest lead of the game less than two minutes later with a Mays layup that made it 57-36 and then protected their double figure advantage down the stretch.

Bobby Hain led Youngstown State (9-10, 0-4) with 16 points.
