Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones: 'I'm not ready' for NFL
Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones said that he is not ready for professional football, but did not say whether he would return to school next season.
Jones is a redshirt sophomore and is eligible to enter the NFL Draft because he has been out of high school for more than three years. Following Ohio State's 42-20 national title game victory over Oregon, Jones was asked about his NFL future.
“In my personal opinion, I’m not ready for that level,” Jones said, according to NFL.com.
Prospects have until Thursday to declare for the NFL Draft, which is April 30-May 2 in Chicago
According to ESPN.com’s Todd McShay, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound Jones would be a fourth- or fifth-round pick should he forego his final two seasons of eligibility.

Jones only started three games this season for the Buckeyes, after injuries to Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett. He led Ohio State to victories in the Big Ten championship, Sugar Bowl and national championship, including 242 passing yards and one touchdown in the title game. He also ran for 38 yards and a score.
Barrett has already said he will return to school next season and Miller, who missed the entire season because of shoulder injury, said he has to get healthy and that he hasn't made a decision regarding his future with the team.
