RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) No. 15 North Carolina is short-handed in the backcourt Wednesday night against North Carolina State.

Team spokesman Steve Kirschner says freshman point guard Joel Berry II will be out be sidelined for a few weeks with a groin injury. Kirschner says Berry originally injured his groin around Christmas then re-aggravated the injury during Tuesday's practice.

The Tar Heels are also without reserve point guards Stilman White and Luke Davis. White is out indefinitely with a stress reaction in his right foot and is wearing a protective boot, while Davis is out with a stress fracture in his right foot.

That leaves the Tar Heels with two ballhandlers - preseason all-American Marcus Paige and sophomore Nate Britt.
