Florida State defensive tackle Goldman to enter NFL Draft
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Florida State defensive tackle Eddie Goldman will forgo his senior season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.
The school made the announcement Wednesday. The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder from Washington, D.C., was a full-time starter the last two years and named Associated Press third-team All American in 2014.
He finished the season with 35 tackles, eight tackles for loss and a team-high four sacks.
Coach Jimbo Fisher said a statement that ''Eddie was a tremendous leader, student-athlete and, most importantly, a tremendous person for FSU.''
Goldman is expected to be an early draft pick because of his athleticism at the position. The Seminoles went 39-3, won the 2013 national championship and three ACC titles during his career.
They advanced to the inaugural College Football Playoff semifinal this season, losing to Oregon.
