Jacksonville edges past Stetson 71-69

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Josh Adeyeye scored a career-best 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds as he rallied Jacksonville in the second half to beat Stetson 71-69 Wednesday night.

Adeyeye did it with 8-of-16 shooting from the field including 7 of 12 3-pointers for the Dolphins (7-12, 1-1 Atlantic Sun Conference). Kori Babineaux added 13 points with four rebounds and seven assists. Andris Misters had 12 points, including 5 of 5 at the line.

The Dolphins hit 46.3 percent from the field, including 10 of 23 on 3-pointers.

Jacksonville led 36-33 at halftime but fell behind early in the second period due to cold shooting. Stetson pulled ahead on a 10-1 run to a 43-37 lead. Adeyeye helped bring the Dolphins back with six 3-pointers in the remainder of the period and they were up 69-63 with three minutes to play.

Kentwan Smith led the Hatters (5-12, 0-2) with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
