Mt St Mary's comes back to beat LIU Brooklyn 61-54

NEW YORK (AP) Junior Robinson scored all 12 of his points in the second half to help ignite Mount St. Mary's to a 61-54 comeback victory over LIU Brooklyn on Saturday.

Mount St. Mary's was held to two points for the first 11 minutes of the first half, and after closing on a 10-3 run, still trailed by 10 points at the break. LIU Brooklyn led by as many as 17 points in the second, until a scoreless span of 5:39 allowed the Mountaineers 13-straight points. The Blackbirds continued to cling to the lead, but another LIU Brooklyn dry spell - and a 10-0 surge by the Mountaineers - put Mount St. Mary's in front with 5:36 left.

The Blackbirds shot 3 of 11 in the remaining minutes.

Chris Martin scored 15 points for the Mountaineers (8-9, 4-2 Northeast Conference), while Robinson had five assists.

Gerrell Martin scored 20 points for LIU Brooklyn (6-11, 2-4).
