Price helps Radford take third straight win 85-77

ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) R.J. Price made 5 of 6 3-pointers on his way to 20 points in leading Radford to an 85-77 victory over Winthrop on Saturday.

Price hit three consecutive 3-pointers to lift the Highlanders (12-7, 3-3 Big South) into a 76-73 lead with 4:10 remaining. Javonte Green scored the next five points including a runner off the glass with 32 seconds left to make it 81-76 and secure Radford's third straight win.

Radford closed the first half on a 16-5 run for a one-point lead. Keon Johnson had 12 points in a 17-2 run to put Winthrop on top 57-49 with 14 minutes left, but Johnson wouldn't score again. A 12-0 Radford run tied it at 64-all with 7:52 left.

Both teams shot over 50 percent. Winthrop was 8 of 20 from the arc; Radford topped that, going 11 of 18.

Johnson led Winthrop (8-9, 3-3) with 21 points.
