PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) Javier Duren scored 19 points with 10 rebounds and Yale cruised past Brown 80-62 on Saturday in both team's Ivy League opener.

Neither team came out on fire, but Yale (12-6) opened a 9-2 lead over the first 5 1/2 minutes as Brown made just one of its first six shots. A 10-1 run midway through the half lifted Brown to a small lead, but Yale responded by closing the frame on a 22-12 run - including 3-pointers by Armani Cotton and Jack Montague - to build a 45-31 advantage at the break.

A free throw by Makai Mason and another 3-ball from Montague pushed Yale's lead over 20 points with 9:14 left and the Bulldogs cruised home from there.

Justin Sears had 15 points, 11 boards and five blocked shots for Yale, while Montague finished with 15 points.

Brown (9-9) was led by Leland King with 18 points while Rafael Maia added 16 points and 12 rebounds.
