Northeastern holds off College of Charleston 69-67

BOSTON (AP) David Walker and T.J. Williams combined for 26 points as Northeastern held off a determined College of Charleston for a 69-67 win on Saturday night.

Walker made 4 of 8 field goals for 14 points and Williams made 4 of 5 for 12 points. Scott Eatherton and Zach Stahl scored 11 apiece for Northeastern (13-5, 5-1, Colonial Athletic Association).

The Huskies led from the beginning but Charleston would not quit. Adjehi Baru completed a three-point play and Evan Bailey nailed a trey to tie at 59 with 2:12 remaining. The Huskies scored five straight to lead 64-59 with 35 seconds left.

Charleston's Joe Chealey made two free throws to close to 64-61. Eatherton made two to extend the lead, and sank two more to seal the win.

Chealey had 23 points and seven assists, Baru added 13 and Canyon Barry had 11 for Charleston (6-13, 1-5).
