Plomb leads Army to a 65-64 win over Colgate

WEST POINT, N.Y. (AP) Tanner Plomb hit four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points to lead Army to a 65-64 win over Colgate on Wednesday night.

Colgate's Matt McMullen converted the three-point play for a 61-60 advantage with 25 seconds left. Plomb buried a 3 on the ensuing possession to regain the lead at 63-61 with 18 seconds to go. Ethan Jacobs then turned the ball over, which led to the game-sealing free throws from Kyle Wilson with just six seconds to go. McMullen hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer for the final margin.

Wilson had 15 points and Dylan Cox tacked on 12 points and six assists for the Black Knights (12-6, 3-4 Patriot). Plomb was 7 of 15 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds.

Damon Sherman-Newsome scored 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and Jacobs pitched in 11 points for Colgate (8-12, 5-2). McMullen added eight points and had 13 rebounds.
