Quinnipiac avenges earlier loss, beats Saint Peter's 63-55

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) Zaid Hearst scored 23 points and Ousmane Drame added a double-double to lead Quinnipiac over Saint Peter's 63-55 on Wednesday night.

Drame scored 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Bobcats (10-8, 4-5 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) avenged a 66-60 home loss to Saint Peter's on Jan. 2.

Marvin Dominique scored 13 points and collected nine rebounds for the Peacocks (9-11, 3-6), who also got 12 points from Desi Washington.

Quinnipiac shot only 38.5 percent but hit 21 of 28 from the free-throw line while Saint Peter's only went to the line eight times and made two. The Bobcats enjoyed a 43-30 rebounding edge, collecting 13 offensive rebounds that led to 19 second-chance points.

The game was tied at 24-all at halftime, Justin Harris gave the Bobcats the lead for good 43-42 with a jump shot with 6:40 left. Quinnipiac built the lead to nine with a minute to go.
