BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Nick Norton converted 6 of 7 from the free throw line in overtime to preserve Alabama-Birmingham's come-from-behind, 81-76 win over Charlotte Thursday night.

Charlotte (8-10, 2-4 C-USA) held a 65-60 lead after Torin Dorn's jumper with 2:32 left, but the Blazers (9-10, 5-1) came back behind a Ronald Brown dunk and Norton's 3-pointer with 1:27 left to force overtime.

Norton was fouled beyond the arc and converted all three free throws to give UAB a 70-69 lead and, after a Norton defensive rebound, Hakeem Baxter got to the basket for a layup. Brown added a layup to make it 74-71 and the Blazers closed out the game from the line.

Norton knocked down 6 of 11 shots from beyond the arc and finished with 26 points to lead UAB. Brown added another 14.

Keyshawn Woods scored 19 points and Terrence Williams and Dorn added 17 and 16, respectively, for Charlotte.
