Montana State rallies to beat Southern Utah 79-65

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) Stephan Holm scored 19 points, Michael Dison scored 11 of his 15 points in the second half, and Montana State rallied to beat Southern Utah 79-65 on Thursday night for their first Big Sky Conference win.

Marcus Colbert scored 15 for the Bobcats (4-14, 1-5), who made 12 of 23 3-pointers (52.2 percent), including 4 of 5 each for Colbert and Dison and 3 of 3 for Holm.

The Thunderbirds closed the first half on a 10-5 run to hold a 41-35 lead.

Montana State tied it a 51 midway through the second half after Zach Green hit a layup to spark a 10-0 run. A.J. Hess pulled the Thunderbirds within 60-57 after two free throws, but Dison hit consecutive 3-pointers amid a 15-1 run for a 73-58 lead with 2:26 left.

Hess had 18 for Southern Utah (5-12, 2-4), Casey Oliverson scored 13 and Parsons 12.
